A Dorset Woodland Garden

This garden is approximately 100 x 60m and faces west.  It is slightly sloping and the soil is acidic loam.  The client wanted a flowing, curvilinear garden with a lot of planting to walk around.  The large patio near the house should have a view of woodland across a large, sweeping lawn, and paths meandering through the woodland to a substantial vegetable garden and a tennis court.

Requirements for the new design/landscape architecture:

  • A large lawn with stepping stones across it
  • Shady woodland borders with different colour themes
  • A feature pergola for climbing roses
  • A substantial vegetable garden, protected from deer
  • Additional trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials

This garden has been constructed by Gregorys Landscapes of Piddlehinton, and the plants have been sourced from Chichester Trees and Shrubs.
